Apparently, cholesterol acts from the neonatal period as a trigger for liver metabolism and as a nutrient, moreover, the mother's milk contains certain amounts of cholesterol.

Recommendations indicate that cholesterol should not exceed 200 mg. although it is normal not to exceed 180 mg. and we refer to total cholesterol, since there are two types of cholesterol, good and bad (Ldl), the level of the latter should be below 110 mg. The rest should be good cholesterol and should always exceed 45 mg. It is possible that a child suffers from familial hypercholesterolemia, that is, hereditary. With this disease, although a low fat diet is practically not lowered levels and it is necessary to administer a supplementary medication.

In this case it is important to exclude fatty foods that provide large doses of cholesterol such as eggs, butter or sausages among others.
