Child trafficking in India, a sad reality

Child trafficking is a reality that occurs in several countries of the world, especially in those most in need. It is estimated that some 60 million children are victims of child trafficking in India and the "price" that is shuffled with them, ranges between 9 and 40 euros. These are the data provided by the NGO Bachpan Bachao Andolan (BBA).

If this situation really does occur, it is incomprehensible that the competent authorities of India do not take true letters in the matter. Various manifestations by the population have requested an end to this dramatic situation and the NGO has repeatedly requested several amendments to the current Immoral Traffic Prevention Law so that those who carry out child trafficking are punished as it deserves. Children of all ages are subjected to this practice, on previous occasions we have already mentioned other problems suffered by children in India, such as abandonment, malnutrition and high infant mortality rate, to this we must add, Be victims of child trafficking. But unfortunately this does not end here, in this country there are also up to two and a half million infanticides.

India may not be the best country for a child to have guaranteed minimum rights, too many problems hover over them and some measure of pressure from international organizations that can avoid these sad events would be necessary, is to run out of words.
