This is the surprise that a couple of Lobres took away a few days ago, in Granada and the doctors themselves: the mother I was expecting twins and gave birth to triplets.
The third baby had not appeared in any of the ultrasound exams to which the mother underwent, although being the preterm birth it could have been seen, surely, in the last ultrasound that the mother had to have.
This is the first triplet delivery that occurs at the Hospital Santa Ana de Motril, which has 20 years of history. The head of the Gynecology and Obstetrics Department of the hospital said that this type of multiple delivery "It is not frequent when fertilization has been traditional as in this case, but usually occurs in assisted reproduction." The father of the little ones said that the surprise was capitalized (he even thought it was an innocent one) and that with all the technical advances that there are today they should have seen that three were coming.
The truth is that in the mother's first gynecological examination they saw that there was a fetus and it was four months later when they were told that "Two were coming and they were girls". At birth at seven and a half months of gestation there was no time for that third ultrasound that perhaps would have shown the third child.
The three babies, who were born with an average weight of 1,800 kilos will be called Lorena, Miriam and Esther and become Jonathan's three new sisters, four years old.
The mother, Maria, explained that from now on all the problems will arrive, when she has to change diapers for three times.
Going from having a child to having four should be an immense joy, however I would prefer that they come in droppers (one at a time), because as the mother well says, I can not imagine taking care of three babies at once.
Hopefully this great family will do very well. The father, who is a day laborer, has already requested help from the various companies dedicated to babies "Because his salary is rather low and now he has to get these three girls and a son of four ahead of time."
