As I have said on other occasions, YouTube and the Internet offer all mortals the possibility of seeing something that was once limited only to people who attended pregnant women: how a baby is born.
The network is full of births, and among them they continue to surprise me those that happen at home, without the assistance of any professional, like this one that I show you today in which a woman, taking in every moment the position that the body asks for, ends up giving birth to her baby without anyone's help.
What catches the attention of the video
The grace of the matter is that we can see a woman giving birth to her baby in a video recorded by her husband, and then we can analyze what catches the attention of the video. Interestingly, what is most striking is not what you see, but also, but especially what you don't see.
There is no one around, no one except his daughter who swarms out there and who still has the idea of taking the tit seconds before the baby's head comes out. And when I say nobody, I mean nobody telling the mother what she has to do and what she has to stop doing. I do not want to say with this entry that it is terrible to give birth in a hospital because yes or yes you will find everything you have said and that the ideal is to have the baby alone at home. This is not the message I want to convey. What I mean is that there is a huge difference between what this mother feels she can do and what many mothers who give birth in a hospital feel they can do (or make them feel).
Ideally, what I think should be the goal to be achieved, is that a mother can go to give birth to a hospital, in a pleasant environment and with confidence towards herself and those who are going to attend her, to have a birth like the one in the video. Only if necessary, with time, with tranquility, with no one to infantilize it and make you feel tiny and unable to know at any moment how to act. With no one to wear the white or green coat to say bullshit and take advantage of their position to believe that I know what.
Obstetricians, midwives, nurses, health professionals are at the service of users. When a woman is going to give birth to a hospital, we are simply talking about a healthy pregnant woman, totally capable of giving birth alone, who prefers to give birth in a controlled environment just in case something twists. No more no less. He does not need to be treated as if it were useless, to be given hundreds of instructions like someone talking to a subordinate or to be treated disrespectfully.
