An eight month pregnant woman was trying to run in the San Fermín confinement

Everyone was ready to run the first San Fermín confinement of this year when the Municipal Police of Pamplona realized that among the runners who were preparing to run in front of the bulls there was an eight month pregnant woman.

The woman, who is a foreigner, intended to run the Gago Barley race between Santo Domingo and the Town Hall square in its advanced state of gestation. It was she who told the police, when she was evicted from confinement, that she only had a month to go out of accounts.

Sanfermines are more focused on preventing harassment of women, although unfortunately they have not taken long to see sexual aggressions during the Pamplona party. We are also used to seeing other crazy things of this date as drunk runners or people without any experience who are preparing to run, even a father who ran with his son.

But if we thought we had seen everything about irresponsibility and recklessness in sanfermines, this pregnant woman has come to set the bar very high by trying to run a confinement almost ready to give birth.

It is true that a pregnant woman is not sick or invalid and can live practically normal life, but here she can easily suffer a blow, a serious fall or in the worst case, be cornered by a bull. Not only puts your life at risk, but also your baby's.
