Cots, how they should be

When our children are very young, it is when they sleep the most, for this reason, we must guarantee adequate rest. During your first months you can opt for a bassinet or a cot, but always, after 4 months they should rest in a crib.

This crib can be reduced by padded protectors along the edges of the crib, so that your child is in a comforting and soft environment. Appropriate measures of a crib should be as follows:

The cribs must be provided with bars that are separated from each other by a distance of between 4 and 6 centimeters, since this is the safety distance so that the child cannot put his head through the bars and thus be able to harm himself . The height is also very important at least it must be about 60 centimeters from the base of the mattress, since this is the minimum height so that the baby cannot fall. A crib must be smooth and not have any type of element that the child can use to grab.

The bed base of the cradle is another important element, it must be rigid and solid, which cannot be deformed, in this way it is guaranteed that the child has a healthy development in his bone and muscular structure. The mattress never has to be too soft and much less yield under the weight of the body, it must be comfortable but rigid and uniform, it must adapt to the body.

All materials in the crib must be non-toxic and anti-irritant and must be in perfect condition. All metal parts must be resistant to corrosion.

Nowadays there are already a few cribs called evolutionary and convertible, without changing the structure of the crib, with small changes, you can convert it into a small sofa, a bed, a desk or a playground. Although you can also opt for the convertible crib, which being larger, when disassembled, becomes a complete children's room although it seems difficult to believe.
