The BOE publishes today the new law of help by birth or adoption

Today is the day on which the birth or adoption of a child aid law has been published in the BOE, this fact guarantees that the requests for the new benefit will be effective in the coming days.

As we talked in Babies and more in the days following the announcement of this benefit, it may be charged as a deduction in income tax (Physical Income Tax) or as a non-contributory Social Security benefit. In the Basque Country and in Navarra, it will be paid as a non-contributory benefit.

At the moment there are 120,000 parents who have requested the “baby check”, according to information from the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Jesus Caldera, the necessary forms have been completed by the vast majority of new parents, whether by birth or adoption. 53.5% of the 118,624 applications come from Andalusia, Catalonia and Madrid, where fewer applications have been received from the Basque Country, Navarra and La Rioja. 69% have requested it through the Social Security offices, while the remaining 31% have done so through the Tax Agency.

We remind that families with disabled children, single parents and large families, will see the help of 2,500 euros extended by 1,000 euros more.

Have you already requested it? If so, the first thing we say is Congratulations on being parents!
