TVE's “Child Awareness” campaign, Christmas solidarity

The time is conducive to this kind of solidarity campaigns, which I find necessary, but sometimes it sounds a little forced that it is always the proximity of Christmas that softens our hearts.

In the week of December 15-21, TVE will be the one who tries, with the collaboration of UNICEF and FAO, to make everyone aware of the needs of many children in the world through the Child Awareness campaign.

The person in charge of making those messages known will be a new Lunni character called Lunicef created so that children find it familiar and close and can thus better understand the difficult situation that other children like them live.

The programs will include special content committed to the defense of children. The ultimate goal is to raise funds to help meet the basic needs of millions of children who are much more basic than they can imagine.

The starting point will be this Saturday at the FAO Gala that we have already seen announced, which will be a ten-hour marathon with open telephones and account number to collect as much as possible. They say that the Spaniards are very supportive, to see if together we put our grain of sand.

So that we do not think that we are only good at Christmas, TVE plans to create a foundation that centralizes this type of initiatives and can be done throughout the year.
