Multimedia graphic to understand dyslexia

Today we present a resource that I found excellent for a first approach to the problem of dyslexia, a neurological disorder that prevents correct reading and writing and that affects to a greater or lesser extent 10% of the school and adult population.

In this explanatory graph we begin with a journey through the brain to know how its hemispheres work and what sections of reality and our understanding of it encompasses each one. How the reading process works and what fails in the brain of a dyslexic person are the next steps.

Especially interesting is the section dedicated to the characteristics of dyslexia, since we can cover them by ages: from 4 to 6 years old, from 6 to 9, from 9 to 12 and over 12 years old. At the point that interests us, from 4 to 6 years old, guide us to be attentive to an early detection of dyslexia, since at these ages children do not know how to read and write well.

So we will have to look at aspects such as family history, speech and writing problems, spatial disorientation, sequence memorization or irregular school performance to alert you to possible dyslexia problems and act as soon as possible.

Data on the learning characteristics of people with dyslexia, a selection of books with recovery activities aimed at overcoming their learning problems and an extension article on the subject complete this interesting presentation to understand dyslexia.
