A year ago I explained that the Otta Kids store, a clothing store, promoted the creation of a solidarity calendar to raise funds for the fight against cancer, according to the objective of the TV3 Marathon.
This year in the Marató de TV3 will try to get money for the research of neurodegenerative diseases and Otta Kids has returned to make a solidarity calendar with 12 photographers, who wanted to start "CARPE DIEM: viu la vida, that life is ARA !!!" (CARPE DIEM: live life, that life is NOW !!!).
To carry out this project they wanted to have members of the Associació Catalana d'Atàxies Hereditàries. Ataxias are a group of minor diseases, which affect less than one person in every 2,000, that produce progressive spinal and / or cerebellar degeneration. They are diseases that are usually diagnosed from adolescence, but have wanted to spread the existence of this disease among the little ones, so that people know more about the disease.
For this they have had Lluc and his family, protagonists of the cover of the calendar, which is 8 years old and was diagnosed when he was 4. He begins to have difficulty walking, but his strength and enthusiasm are worthy of admiration. In addition to him, a total of 90 children have participated in the calendar, appearing in the different photos that brighten the pages of each month.
