Names for baby of the saint: I don't know

A few weeks ago Eva brought us news related to the names of babies and the Church, in which she urged families to baptize their children with Christian names, that is, with the names of the saint.

The fact is that I decided to stop by the saints to see some names and although many of the usual names are inside, most of the ones I could see are names that I personally would not wish for even my worst enemy.

As it is impossible to name them all, I leave you with a selection of the most bizarre that I could see observing only the first fifteen days of the month of January and, to make a counterpoint, of the most normal in my view:

Names I would never give my children

  • Fulgencio
  • Almaquio
  • Agripino
  • Bonfilio
  • Concord
  • Eugendo
  • Frodoberto
  • Ponfilio
  • Oringa
  • Dafrosa
  • Telesphorus
  • Tarsilia
  • Melanto
  • Apolinate
  • Martian
  • Cesarina
  • I lived
  • Macrina
  • Remigio

Names I could put on my children (without being thrown in my face, I guess)

  • Mary
  • Manuel
  • Jesus
  • Beatrice
  • Yolanda
  • Angela
  • Julian
  • Adrian
  • Alexander
  • Alfred
  • Paul
  • Raquel

This second listing is more child friendly, although personally I would not put any because I prefer exclusivity when it comes to putting names. "Armando" is a name that I have never liked too much, however I have always been the only one in the class and even in school, institute, university and work and I have always loved that (and that's why my children are called Jon and Aran, because of the difficulty that they are, at least in Catalonia, with children who are called the same).
