San Francisco became Gotham for a day to fulfill the wish of a sick child

Miles become Batkid

The Make a Wish Foundation has made it possible for Miles Scott became Batman's assistant for a day... It was yesterday, and do not think that they were limited to buying a costume of this superhero that keeps criminals at bay, but that they managed to convert the city of San Francisco in Gotham for a day, and the day chosen was yesterday.

Miles is only five years old but is sick with leukemia (a disease that seems to be remitting), one of his dreams coincides with that of other children between four and six years old: become superheroes and emulate the exploits of these. Dozens of people have collaborated so that this brave 'Bat Kid' will help Batman to free the inhabitants of Gotham from all those evil ones who intend to harm them.

The little one was very good in his role, and did not hesitate to use the batmobile to move with Batman wherever they need them. The 'making off' organized by Make a Wish, began with a call from the Police to the inhabitants of the city to locate Bat Kid; and from there the rescue of a lady in distress, the capture of a villain in full robbery and in confrontation with the person responsible for the kidnapping of the city mascot (Lou Seal).

With Riddler and Penguin in prison, Miles enjoyed the moment in the inhabitants of the clean city at last from evil, they cheered him. I heard that Ed Lee (mayor of San Francisco - or should I say Gotham?) Has handed him the key to the city, and it seems that Michelle Obama thanked the little hero for the collaboration he provided.

This child was diagnosed with the disease when he was only 18 months old, and the experience (which was a surprise even for his own parents), shows that It is possible to fulfill the wishes of these children who have such affected health. In fact, I am sure that even the people who have collaborated to make this possible have changed their lives, and transformed a day that may be 'gray' and monotonous, in a joyful journey.

They are several experiences in which super heroes collaborate to help sick children, we have met those who visit them in the hospital, and those who clean the windows through which the hospitalized children gawk like Spiderman or Captain America collaborate in the maintenance of the building. We have also been happy here to know the story of that girl with cancer who asked for pizza to get out of the hospital feeding routine.

I think the main ingredient to facilitate the fulfillment of the wishes of these children is the will and desire to doAt the end of the day, we all understand the helplessness that they and their family members should feel, and the joy of seeing how others also care.
