The Loewe Foundation invites us to the session "The joy of children" with María Pagés

The Loewe Foundation He has invited us to see the bailaora María Pagés in a show for kids called The joy of the children in which Maria has allowed us to attend a rehearsal of her role. We have heard and seen dance hammers, tanguillos, joys in which both María Pagés and the rest of the company have shown us their passion for dance, for poetry and has shown us the strength of their art turning a naked stage into a great show for the senses to enjoy.

In addition between trial and trial Maria was approaching the stage limit, to the tie, and explained to the entire audience many details of the performances and the company. María seeks the complicity of the children and encourages them to participate while teaching them many things about flamenco, music and poetry that she prints to her performances. I have read in other media that Maria has been doing this task for several months in places like Hospitals teaching the kids how a choreography is done, how the dialogue between dance and music is built, how a light is made to value dance or music, how a set is transformed or how technicians intervene from behind stage to make the magic flow through the armchair patio.

We thank the Loewe Foundation the invitation to which we went families with children. It’s very interesting that Encourage the kids and the new generations to know the dance and of course María Pagés is a great choice to learn about the magic and mysteries of the stage. The representation was made in the Theaters of the Canal de Madrid in the Red Room.

The final number, for joysIt included the use of a shawl with which Maria surprised us with beautiful twists and movements that I tried to show in the following image:

On the page of María Pagés you can see many details of her tour, of her performances, of her relationship with José Saramago, of which one of her poems danced extraordinarily, and of her company. María explained that after the success they have had in Madrid they went to Beijing to show flamenco art around the world. We wish you many successes and thank you very much for the generosity in the explanations and especially in the art shown in the dances and music.
