Maybe it's 2015 when you celebrate your son's first birthday. Maybe you've been celebrating a few. Anyway, surely you have some preferences, although they can not always be carried out ... What kind of birthday do you prefer for your child? We will see different "styles" with their advantages and disadvantages.
Birthdays at home, outdoors or in a ball park, themed, with games or clowns ... there are many ways to make the child's birthday special, which one do you prefer?
Of course, we will be realistic and stick to the most economically affordable options, because, who would not like to celebrate the birthday on a cruise inviting the whole family? Or how about a great theme park?
We have to raise the child options appropriate to your way of being (If you are more or less shy, more or less active ...) and family reality. And, another matter: if it is the baby's first birthday, the option of a small family celebration may be appropriate, since the baby does not yet enjoy a "big party".

Birthdays at home are "those of a lifetime", or so I remember them. At home we can invite the family and friends of the child, but without going over (unless we have a mansion), because there may be space problems. One way to partly avoid that problem would be to "divide" the birthday into two parts and, if we have a park near home, go out to play before or after the snack.
The advantage of home celebrations is the economicWell, if we prepare the snack it will be cheaper. We also have more possibilities to choose the "menu" (sometimes simple but delicious snacks), the cake, the decoration ... A theme party is ideal at home. Tell the guests to contribute their decoration or own costume accessories ... they can even collaborate if we want to hire a clown, or will dare dad or mom make a few funny antics?
But we can also opt for a simple party with a few ornaments and then thematize the games we are going to do, or have prepared different accessories to dress up ...
As at home they cannot run too much, it is convenient that we have prepared some activities that require concentration, such as drawing, painting, doing some simple crafts ... Face makeup is a good option on these birthdays.
A disadvantage to keep in mind: both birthday preparation and "collection" and cleaning will be more expensive than with other options.
Outdoor birthday
The advantages of outdoor birthdays are plentiful, since the number of children is not as much a problem as in our home and the possibility of running and playing games that involve physical exercise is multiplied. Of course, if the birthday does not fall in the coldest time.
We can play lifelong games such as chase, ball, rope, palms, corros ... However, we must have an alternative plan in case the weather spoils a dream day and we have to provide all the logistics necessary (refrigerators to keep drinks, cake, tables and folding chairs if necessary ...).
Picnic. In the countryside, in the mountains or in some large parks there are suitable areas with snacks to celebrate a lunch or snack and have a great time in the countryside. There are probably no other birthdays and you can practice many traditional outdoor games.
Public park. In the city park it is difficult to "narrow down" who our guests are, because there will usually be more children who want to join the party. But it is an option that some parents prefer because children enjoy the swings and can also run outdoors.
Pool or beach. Only for the summer, swimming pools and beaches are ideal places to celebrate birthdays of somewhat older children, as long as we are continuously monitoring them to avoid the risk of drowning or other accidents. The games in the sand on the beach that we can practice are many and are enjoyed by the little ones. Some pools have small bars or cafes that prepare the snack.
All that remains is to have a good time ... and collect everything to make it clean!
Ball parks
As I said on occasion, I am not very much in favor of ball parks, although I recognize that the children have a great time. The disadvantage of this type of party is that it is more expensive and that it usually coincides with other birthdays, which sometimes saturates the attractions. Noise is also a matter to consider if the place is small or not well conditioned.
On the other hand, it has the advantage that everything is prepared there (although this for some parents will not be so good) and we also care to clean or pick up. The children do a lot of exercise and some entertainment such as the ball pool have a great attraction on them (and on some older ones!).
The hamburger chains They offer this option, but because of the type of food, all parents may not like it; In some cafés and bars with playground you can also celebrate birthdays and they may have a more varied menu and we can choose more.
The premises with small ball parks have fewer attractions but we will be alone and we can prepare some games or tell the monitors the ideas we have and not leave any loose ends (menu, schedule ...). There are some parks that even have tracks for children to play with balls.
In addition to these children's birthday possibilities, keep in mind some last tips: Ask your child for an opinion about what his ideal birthday would be like (among those that you propose) and who his guests, putting a number that you consider appropriate as a limit. You can also ask the guests for the gifts you need or that they agree to not receive so many presents that sometimes overwhelm the child and is not even able to assimilate.
