Looking at Carnival parties that are already approaching and that children enjoy so much, we propose a very fun DIY project that you can make at home with your little ones, nice masks that will serve as a starting point for any costume.
They are masks with bird motifs made with a material that we all have at home or we can easily get: a cardboard egg cup. Here you have four examples, but you can make any variant if you start the imagination.
The kids will love this craft. The first thing you will have to do is cut two small squares to use as the base of the mask, the ones that you will cut in the way you like best and those that you will make two little holes for the eyes. If you see that it is very sunk and it is uncomfortable to wear, you cut them a little more and ready.
Next comes the most fun. You will cut in the surplus the feathers and the accessories that will be part of your mask-bird. Then it remains to paint them with tempera or acrylics and finally glue the parts with a glue gun.
It is a very simple project that will keep you entertained for a long time. Now you just have to think about the rest of the costume. Happy Carnival!
