Stokke chest of drawers and changing table: the most versatile furniture in my baby's room

I admit that the changing cabinet was not on my list of essentials when preparing things for the arrival of my baby. But nevertheless As the days went by and my growing back discomforts I came to the conclusion that I needed it. When I saw the proposal of the Stokke Home room, I noticed it right there ... the dresser-changer I would use from that moment and forever. Yes, It is the type of furniture that will never go to a storage room.

At first I thought about buying a dresser and putting a mat on top to do the times, but honestly it seemed dangerous because at the slightest movement of the baby I could slip ... I also thought it was vital that I had the small railings typical of the changing tables. Nor did I want a changer exclusively, since then it would become obsolete and without the possibility of using it as a dresser, so in this piece of furniture I found the solution.

Two furniture and two independent functions

The dresser and the changing table they are two independent furniture (Of course they are sold separately), but they are coupled to fulfill the dual function. That is, when I stop using the changer I will simply disassemble it and the dresser will remain in your room.

Its quality is clear and its finishes are taken care of in detail, for example with rounded corners to avoid accidents. They are consistent furniture (I remember seeing many who rocked almost dangerously just by touching them), and the drawers are just the right size to store the baby's things but without being too exaggerated: each one has a different size, starting with a small one to a bigger one, where I keep your towels and blankets.

As for the height, it is perfect to change the baby without having to bend over or lose sight of it ... it is one of the things I like the most, that While I change her, we maintain eye contact and she keeps smiling.

The changer fits perfectly and does not move, it can also be oriented sideways (as I show you in the photo), or in front, depending on the location that best suits us according to the room. Its size is 50 cm x 70 cm., So I will be able to use it for many months… besides includes a mattress and a storage box to have on hand everything necessary to change the baby (remember how extremely dangerous it is to leave him alone if we forget something we need at that time).

Another advantage that I find is that this furniture can also take advantage when we no longer use it for its initial function: we can turn it into the base of a small table, so in the future it may be my daughter's first desk. If we have the bassinet of the Stokke Home room, the base can do the times perfectly.

I am very happy with this furniture and I think it is a very good option for those who are looking for a changer that you want to use forever. It is true that they are not cheap, but I think that for the quality and functionality they provide, the investment is worth it.
