Question for parents: Have you ever tried breast milk? Have you ever tried breast milk directly from your wife's chest? And ask for moms: have you ever breastfed your partners? Because I know that these are somewhat strange questions that are sure to generate rejection in more than one woman and more than one man, but who knows, perhaps it is more common than many of us imagine.
Why these questions? Because the model and actress Mireia Canalda, ex-swimmer couple Felipe Lopez, has recently explained that after becoming a mother she came to breastfeed her baby and her partner, when he felt he needed to empty her breasts.

According to Canalda:

I tried it once
With our second son, Aran, Miriam came to get milk at first, because he was born in the incubator for a few days. After a few days there was more milk than the baby's hunger, and there was so much left over that in the end we had to throw it away. Before doing so, I got curious and I decided to try it. I didn't drink much, really, but I wanted to know the taste because, obviously, I no longer remembered it from my previous infant stage, now 36 years ago. It reminded me of the horchata, although that was not the taste either, so I left it in a "tastes different, tastes weird", and there it all remained.
In reference to if I had suckled from his chest, well, if it had been strictly necessary I would have done it, but having the possibility of doing a manual or breast pump extraction, I think that my mouth, probably inexperienced and ineffective, is in third place preference (that is another ... the gesture that babies make with the tongue when breastfeeding is impossible for an adult to reproduce, so I don't know how much the extraction will be efficient).
In fact, last night I told her and she said no, that she would not have offered it to me even if her breasts hurt, precisely because of having those extraction options. I don't know other women, but she has always defended that the breasts are to breastfeed your babies and I have totally agreed on it. Come on, as I say, I would have preferred not to do it, breastfeeding from her breasts, knowing that my son would later do it.
Men who breastfeed from a woman's chest
I have already told you what I think of it, which does not mean that it is the right or the best. Surely there are many more men than Felipe López sucking the breasts of their partners for reasons of production relief, and who knows if also because of morbidity or curiosity.
