The RACE analyzes the safety of child restraint systems

It has made a new report at European level on the safety of child restraint systems, that is, of the seats in which the little ones sit in the vehicles. The Royal Automobile Club of Spain (RACE), has participated again in this study in which 31 products of different classes, weights and qualities, including low-cost seats, less than 60 euros have been analyzed.

Professionals say that a lateral collision has both a risk of injury and a frontal collision and therefore requires safety and protection. The manufacturers, knowing the importance of their work, have improved their chairs by achieving great protection in any type of collision. The report shows that this product has improved since last year in terms of safety, but still, only 15 have been rated as satisfactory, 8 as acceptable, 5 chairs are unsatisfactory and 3 very unsatisfactory. Broadly speaking, the seats that have obtained the worst score are those that allow the greatest weight and low cost.

They evaluate the chairs for their safety, ease of use, comfort and features of use, focusing mainly on safety to grant a final evaluation.

We already know how expensive accessories are for our little ones, but is there anything more important than the lives of our children?
