Some ideas for homemade Christmas costumes

Today I learned that tomorrow is the Christmas party at my daughter's nursery and she has to wear a Christmas costume.

As with most mothers, I don't have time to do anything very elaborate, nor do I plan to spend money on buying a costume, so I'm thinking possible ideas.

  • Christmas tree: green tights, sweatshirt, vest or whatever you have at home also green where to sew some ornaments such as balls or gifts. That is clothes that do not matter to you to break in case the companions pull the balls “from the tree”.

  • Angelito: a white dress or tunic and wings that you can cut on cardboard and glue cotton balls and glitter. Then place two elastics to pass the arms.

* Shepherd: red skirt, white tights, a red headscarf. Missing a black bodice that can be made with a felt rectangle that you make two holes for the arms and sew some buttons on the front.

  • Virgin Mary: with a white robe (or sheet) knotted with a drawstring at the waist, a blue cloak and a crown.

These are what I can think of at the moment. More suggestions are accepted that can help me and other mothers in the same desperate situation.
