The Magi and their new means of locomotion

In most of the towns and cities of Spain, as tradition dictates, its three majesties will be presented aboard lustrous floats, camels or failing horses or donkeys.

But in other locations, the Magi will not be anything conventional.

As has been the case in recent years, more and more original forms of transport are sought to surprise children and adults.

This year, Melchor, Gaspar and Baltasar will arrive by air, by sea and snow, aboard the most unusual means of transport like elephants, quads, planes or paragliders.

To name a few, in the small town of Alarilla in Guadalajara they will descend on paragliders and hang gliders, in Motril they will arrive by boat, in Sierra Nevada or stations such as Cerler, by ski lift and skiing, and in Culleredo they will do it in quads disguised as camels.

And it does not end there. In La Laguna (Tenerife) they will land by plane and then take a tram, in Getafe (Madrid) they will arrive on board a helicopter, while in Abegondo (Galicia) they will do so in two Mercedes Benz from the sixties.

Where has left the straw left to the camels? Or do children now have to leave a gas bonus? Isn't tradition a little lost with so much innovation, or are modern forms of locomotion of its majesties welcome?

We will have to adapt just to the times.
