New acquisition: Micralite chair analysis

As I said last week, the cart used by my two girls has gone to retirement (it was now) and for various reasons that I explained in the analysis of the chairs for the elderly I have decided to buy the Micralite Fastfold chair that you can see on the right.

After a few days of use, which is when you can make a correct analysis of what we have bought, I will tell you what I think the advantages and disadvantages of the cart. Logically, the first ones tip the scales, otherwise I would not have bought it.

To begin, I must say that when I received it, I was scared because it is bigger than I imagined. I have looked for it in several stores to see it “in person” before ordering it online, but as I said, you can see almost nothing in the stores or on the streets of Spain (in London itself), so I took a chance to buy it blindly .

After the first scare, especially for the size of the rear wheels that are swollen with air, I began to study it from top to bottom.

The shape of the handlebar is practical, especially in the case of needing to maneuver the cart with one hand, which usually happens with two girls.

It has a hood, for me essential to cover the baby from the sun and some surprise drizzle.

The size of the seat is generous, brings headrest and has two reclining positions. Those are all advantages, but a small disadvantage that I find is that the seat is not rigid but is like a kind of bag, and my baby who is very curious does not allow her to see everything in the front row. Anyway it is very comfortable because he has already slept there his good naps while we were walking.

Another drawback is that the basket supports a maximum of two kilos of weight, too little for which we were accustomed to using the trunk cart, but we will have to get used to it.

As for an advantage, and the most important, is that the folding system is fantastic. Really, without deception, it can be folded with one hand. It has passed my own litmus test which is to fold it and store it with one hand in the trunk of the car with my baby raised on the other arm.

One of lime and another of sand. It is very maneuverable, it has a very useful pocket where to place the keys and the cell phone but it is not as light as I would have liked. Another one in favor is that it allows you to place a carrycot for newborn babies and can expand its use if you have another baby.

Let's say it's not what a canoe is called, if it's what you're looking for Micralite is not the right chair.

In conclusion, it is a chair of second age for babies of more than 6 months that by design, price and benefits is a very acceptable alternative.
