Good news from Menudos Corazones

Fortunately, in recent years the survival rate of children born with heart injuries has been increasing.

That is the good news that has been announced by the Menudos Corazones Foundation, the foundation that helps children with heart problems, which has also said that of the more than 4,000 children born every year with congenital heart disease, 85 percent survive.

Thanks to the increasingly advanced techniques, both surgical and therapeutic, that are currently being carried out, they anticipate that the survival rate will continue to increase.

However, when your child is affected, I imagine that statistics are the least important. Repeated interventions in such small babies are very distressing when you don't have to deal with really serious sequelae.

Although the outlook is hopeful for the treatment of this congenital disease, the one with the highest incidence in newborns, the specialists called for improvements in the last Congenital Heart Disease Conference held, to which I am sure that many affected parents adhere.

They asked that medical, welfare and social programs be adopted so that sick children achieve a better integration within their fields since, among other problems, they have a high percentage of school failure.
