The week in Babies and more: from November 26 to December 2

Like every Monday, today we do a summary of what we have published in Babies and more the week just finished . By the way, full of Christmas content.

Christmas is coming and it shows, in the Christmas special you can see that our blog has been infected with the spirit of these dates.

We have presented some molds to make cookies with Christmas motifs, some Christmas postcards of Anne Geddes, some warm reversible Christmas caps for children and some Christmas drawings to paint for the little ones to decorate the house.

Also a beautiful Christmas gift has embellished our blog in the weekly section the photo of your baby and we have delighted with a Christmas Carol of the Lunnis. Another fun moment has been in charge of parents who also change diapers, but see how.

As for gifts, Elda has told us about some aspects to consider when buying a toy before going out to buy gifts.

About these we have presented some interesting toys and books such as Mickey Mouse's house, Famosa's triplets, The Encyclopedia of The Lunnis, Lunniclopedia and "The Girinelda Fairy", personalized story about Christmas, a good way to Talk to children about this time of year.

We already know what the preferences of children are in terms of gifts, which this year can be requested by letter to the Magi through email and with the possibility of connecting with them all year. We have known the result of a survey that indicates that 29.3 percent of children will ask Ratatouille for Christmas.

We have also listed a list of ridiculous gifts for babies, who who does not consider them so well can consider them to give as gifts.

With regard to pregnancy, studies have not revealed major developments about gastroesophageal reflux in pregnancy, we still do not know the reasons that cause heartburn.

As for the health of the pregnant woman, we have seen how the advantages of new technologies can be taken advantage of, since gestational diabetes can be treated through the mobile phone. In return, specialists warn us of the risks of x-rays and CT scans in pregnancy.

Speaking of advances, we have learned of a novel technique applied to Rh incompatibility between the fetus and the mother and that the sex of the baby may not only be determined by the genetic information of the sperm, but that the woman's feeding before pregnancy can influence the sex of the baby.

The baby check does not stop bringing queue, the criticism continues. On the one hand, we were wondering why they call it help by birth or adoption if it only benefits the mother, and on the other hand large families have denounced it since apparently not everyone could benefit from the help of an extra thousand euros for their condition .

Speaking of injustices, a recurring theme on the blog is maternal mobbing, in this case that of a woman in the process of in vitro fertilization who has been fired from her job.

We always support the promotion of breastfeeding. This week we have drawn conclusions from the survey we have done to know how long you have breastfed your baby, and fortunately the data indicates that breastfeeding is not as bad as it seems. We hope that this trend continues, that we should thank initiatives such as that of the La Paz Hospital in Madrid that has presented a document that unifies criteria to promote breastfeeding.

As for the health of children, we care about a virus that affects them especially at this time of year, gastroenteritis and how we should treat it with oral rehydration. If there was a fever, we could use a new thermometer that allows the temperature to be taken without touching the baby.

A disease that we know more and more data is celiac disease, which if not treated properly can affect the bones of children. Another new threat that affects children is super bacteria, against which the child population is especially vulnerable.

Changing the subject flatly, we have provided some tips to optimize the space in the children's bedroom, and if you want to give it a personal touch, we have explained how to make a giant poster with your baby's photo.

And last but not least, but quite the opposite, we talk about the importance of symbolic play in childhood and encourage children to share.

We hope that the contents have been of your interest. This week more.
