The consumption of organic baby food grows by 22%

We all know that the healthy eating should start from childhood. The best option is to start with Breastfeeding. There is nothing more ecological as the milk that Nature has designed for the human baby and that each mother makes specifically adapted to her child.

But with 6 months (following the recommendations of the WHO and the Pediatric Associations) begins complementary feeding: gluten-free cereals, vegetables, fruit, ...

At this time babies can be fed with products and organic or conventional food. Normally one or another form of feeding is chosen according to family habits, but more and more "non-ecological" parents are more aware of the benefits of this type of food and choose to buy their children small porridge, baby food and other organic products.

Our colleagues from the Vitónica healthy life blog have published several studies on the superiority of organic farming in nutrients, especially antioxidants and have given us many reasons to opt for this modality.

The market is growing and this is evidenced by the Ecoalimenta website who reports that in Spain "The potential of the ecological children's market is close to 400 TN but today the sales of organic porridge represent only 13.1% of its potential market, so the route is still very wide, making it clear that there is a high level of unmet real demand and a niche market to cover”.

It is good news for everyone. The more organic consumers we are, the better prices we will have. Currently some organic products are more expensive than conventional products but we can reflect on this issue:

Isn't it worth investing a few more euros in porridge of non-transgenic cereals, without refined sugar and without additives when many times we leave that saving in a Kinder egg or various inconsequences?
