Presented in Spain the first baby simulator

On Tuesday he presented himself to SimNewB, a name that is not traditional for a baby that comes to be released in Spain, the first European country where it is introduced.

It has the standard measurements of a newborn. It measures 51 centimeters and weighs 3.5 kilos, but it is not a real baby, but a neonatal simulator that perfectly reproduces the characteristics of a baby.

A complex technology allows the doll to breathe, perform movements (spasms, tremors), cry in different ways and recreate the most frequent complications that babies suffer at birth. It even gets cyanotic, that is, your skin becomes bluish, and even your pupils dilate.

In addition, the simulator baby is complemented by a monitor that controls at all times its vital signs (pulse, tension, heart rate, oxygen level) that can be modified to study the baby's reactions and find the best way to solve it.

Of course, the new invention will be very useful for training professionals in hospitals, maternity hospitals and medical schools and will facilitate practice in cases of neonantal resuscitation and neonatal intensive care.

The realism of the doll will help to learn in the most similar way to what it would be in real life, but with the great advantage that in case of error the doll revives.

Good news for the medical community but also for parents who rely on doctors for our flesh and blood babies. We want them to be as well prepared as possible, since they cannot be experienced with them.
