A comic to help prevent childhood risks at home

We already know that the highest incidence of childhood accidents occurs in the home, and many times we have tried on how to prevent them.

Studies show that the child population is very vulnerable, especially in children under 4 years, both at home and in their immediate environment (parks, gardens ...).

The consumer organization Facua Andalucía, Al-Andalus and UCA-UCE have edited this publication in collaboration with the Ministry of Health of the Junta de Andalucía.

Is about a small comic book guide to raise awareness of the importance of child safety, report the risks that come with injuries at home and in recreational areas and the measures that can help avoid these dangers.

The protagonists of the cartoon are the Buendía family, and seen from adult eyes it may seem to us that many of his advice are obvious and some dangerous situations appear very forced, so much that I would dare to say that the parents are quite irresponsible and the worst example when it comes to protecting children from home accidents.

Although seen from another perspective, the exaggeration with which the situations of danger are seen one after another (falls, burns, intoxications, choking, cuts ...) make us more aware that the risk is everywhere.

But it is not very clear to whom the comic is directed, since adults can find ourselves with rather caricatured situations and the little ones can give them some dangerous ideas ...

Anyway, if you want to judge for yourself, the comic, which consists of 12 pages, can be viewed from here (pdf format).
