Ideas for the children's room

With this post I start a small series with concrete ideas to decorate the room of the little ones. I don't want to fall into sexism, but let's not fool ourselves, there is a range of color that is clearly masculine (blue tones) while there is another markedly feminine (pink tones). As I had to divide these posts in some way, I opted for the topic and in this post dedicated to boys rooms I'm going to show you solutions for boys while later I will show you ideas for girls.

The boys usually prefer a room in which there is blue tones and on the thematic walls of cars, rockets, sailors or animals. So, run away from bows, balloons and dolls. A good solution if you do not want your child to grow up in a sexist environment is to combine blue with other shades, such as the one in the photograph, which is yellow or green. This solution will also prevent headaches if you have to share a room with another little brother, since it is not an excessively newborn issue and the tones can "grow with the child." The favorite themes of the boys they are as different as they are different from each other, and if one will love to have his room full of animals, another will die for being able to hang all the stars and planets from the ceiling. We recommend that you get to know your child and that when he is a little older you decide on a more in-depth theme, be it the safari, the cities, the superheroes or the cartoons.

Another idea that can work is to decorate the walls according to the tastes of the boy. To do this, you can wallpaper them with some options such as those sold by Little Hands that they told us in Decoesphere. The truth is that the whole marine theme works very well for boys if you focus on the theme "diver-explorer", while your girl will be the happiest if she sleeps in a "Little Mermaid" style room.

Take advantage of the walls and place drawings on them that your boy likes, either by letting him paint directly on them or by placing decorative vinyl. At this point, we have talked a lot in both Babies and more like in Decoesfera, where there are some that are my favorites: those that are in addition to mirror vinyl.

When I was little, my brother's greatest illusion (and mine, why deny it) was to have a carpet with a road in the room, so I could play with toy cars for real streets. This is a guaranteed success for the children's bedroom and it is not only practical because it will take away the cold of winter but it will also give them hours and hours of play.

Finally, I want to remind you that don't neglect any details, that you match all the textiles in the room and, above all, that let the boys play safely, even if furniture or curtains suffer a little.
