When we talked about the other day Gois pass linking the island of Noirmoutier with the mainland We anticipated that it was an island full of contrasts and ideal for family travel. Because in Noirmoutier you have a lot of attractive to travel with children and do with them a lot of activities. The island has huge beaches where you can practice new sports such as carriage. It is a wind-powered car with wheels that fills an air sail and allows great speeds to be reached in the sand on the beach. It is a very spectacular sport with the plasticity of the sails, the noise of the air inflating them and the sensation of speed with the wheels of the car spinning rapidly next to us. And there are many more incentives. It is an island where you will not find houses of more than two heights, most are even minor. They have some lovely white houses crowned by beautiful weather vanes and with shutters or shutters of colors that give a beautiful contrast to the landscape. The houses can be rented for weeks, although the offer of accommodation is wide especially with the dense network of campsites that are all over the island, some luxury and others municipal. And it is that for the Parisians, the British and the Belgians, it is one of the most attractive and preferred destinations to spend their holidays.
On the island they remain entrenched customs and traditions. For example, the island breeds very famous and very tasty tiny potatoes. In six weeks they are ready for consumption. There are also salt flats and a variety of mollusks, which can be picked up on the beach as we already mentioned when we talk about Gois, although the easiest thing is to go to the many shops that exist and buy oysters. A wide offer that makes prices very competitive and irresistible to consume at any time of the day. And everything that can be caught: turbot, sardine, sea bass, sole, etc.
