At the beginning of the year we were talking about a project aimed at children that were expected to be ready before the end of the year.
Just two weeks after finishing it, Micropolix, a 9,000 m2 leisure center for children between 5 and 13 years old has just opened its doors in the Alegra shopping center in San Sebastián de los Reyes, Madrid.
The distinctive feature of this leisure park with respect to others is that a city is rebuilt with 54 thematic spaces in which children can play to do the work of the greats. They can practice different professions such as journalists, police, doctors, etc. It even has a government headquarters (a reproduction of the Puerta del sol), newspaper, town hall and its own currency called Eurix.
There are those who prefer theme parks in which children play to be children and not older, but it is still an innovative alternative aimed at family leisure that they say has had very good acceptance in the United States.
