Twins with different skin color ... for the second time

Although they are very rare and every time it happens is news, we have already known some births of twins with different skin color, but this case is even more strange because 7 years later the story is repeated.

Dean Duarrant and Alison Spooner, a mixed British couple, have given birth to a pair of very particular twins: one is white as the mother and the other black as the father making them relive the astonishment of years ago when their two oldest daughters were born.

The explanation is that there has been a fortuitous combination of factors. The mother has had a double ovulation that resulted in two sperm fertilizing the two ovules.

There is speculation about whether it is correct to call twins. According to the dictionary, the twins are brothers born from the same birth. These girls are bicigotic or bivithelial twins, which is known as twins, that is, they are the result between fertilization of two different sperm and two different ovules and each one develops in its own pocket inside the uterus. The genetic load of an ovule and a sperm has given rise to a dark-eyed, dark-haired girl while that of the other ovule next to the other sperm has given rise to a white, light-eyed girl. They are two different gestations taking at once.

The result is a very particular family with four beautiful girls who although they have different skin color share their special way of being conceived and that will surely keep them very close.
