We recently commented that summer is an excellent time to enjoy museums with children, but throughout the year we can find children's activities in the City of Arts and Sciences of Valencia. These are some of the proposals we find in the Museum.
- At the Cadet School of Space, thanks to an audiovisual show, aided by "Professor Bombilla" and his assistant "Sparky" will learn a little more about the solar system. The duration of the sessions is 10 minutes and the interval between sessions is 30 minutes.
- In addition, the Museum has several workshops to learn from insects how a television studio works.
- The "Children's Space" (Espai dels Xiquets) is an area dedicated exclusively to children between four and seven years old. Here they experiment with the senses, the nature of water, the world of animals and build their own house, accompanied by specialized monitors. It is completed with two adjacent exhibition modules: "Welcome to life", a macro incubator where every 10 minutes approximately the chicks literally leave the shell; "Animated pet", a nice virtual creation that is in direct communication with children through a large screen.
- But if there is a space where children will enjoy the most, it is the oceanographic, in the dolphinarium, in the aquariums ... In the exhibits, the little ones have panels where they explain in an adapted language and with children's calligraphy, the ecosystems they represent and their inhabitants.
- In "Mediterráneo", children can experience the sensation of entering the heart of the waves in "La Rompiente": through a tunnel, they access inside the aquarium itself protected by a bell. And for the little ones, "Animalia Passport" a guided tour to get to know dolphins and sea lions up close, or the activity "Sleeping with sharks", for families with children from 4 years old, will love it.
- And in the Hemisfèric, the immense projection room in IMAX, there are different shows to enjoy as a family. Spectacular and a little dizzy!
