The French Agency for Health Safety of Health Products (AFSSAPS), equivalent to our Spanish Agency for Medicines and Health Products (AEMPS), has published an alert about the product "Cleansing water for babies, 500 mliliters" of Klorane.
The product must be removed and will be exchanged in the French establishments for another similar, having detected a risk for babies. The bottle has a disc in the application cap that can be released and there has been a case in which the baby got to put it in his mouth. There were no consequences, but the danger of an event like this being repeated has led the company and the agency to decide that it is better, as a precaution, to change it to another format.
They also explain that, apart from this danger, there is no contraindication in the product, which sanitary does not offer risks.
There is no alert in Spain, where this product is also distributed for what I have found out, so I believe that parents should be informed and exercise caution.
The ingestion of small objects by children causes numerous domestic accidents. Consequently, special attention should always be paid to objects located near a child, and which are likely to lead to accidents of this type.
