There is a deep-rooted belief that pregnant women are more likely to give birth on days when there are changes in the moon phase. There have been several investigations in this regard but almost all agree that the moon does not influence childbirth.
It is believed that just as the phases of the moon have influence on the tides due to the effect of gravity, it also has an effect on humans, which are mainly composed of water, and how not on births since the unborn baby lives in a aqueous medium, the aminotic fluid.
Scientific evidence indicates that births in the days of moon change are attributed to a coincidence, that those days are also born children, and not especially that the rupture of membranes have been especially influenced by the satellite.

They analyzed 1,392 births by natural births, those that occur spontaneously, without any medical induction. Among them, 150 births of a town in Bolivia were included, to have a control sample of the southern hemisphere.
Each day of birth was assigned a day of the 29 of the lunar cycle, without being able to verify that there were peaks according to certain phases of the moon.
