Starting from our budget, we can choose between different categories, both hotels and apartments, which are generally classified by the number of stars or keys, respectively. It is convenient to know well what services and amenities are we going to find in the accommodation and make sure they are "baby or children-friendly" establishments: children's friends.
For example, the theme of meals: do they puree for the baby? Is there a microwave in the apartment? Do you offer fruit at all meals? Are there stores nearby where we buy what we need? Do you have cribs available or extra beds? Do they charge for them? Are there high chairs in the restaurant or in the lounge? Is the hotel or apartment accessible with a baby carriage? There is an elevator?
If we make the reservation ourselves by Internet we can consult all our doubts on the website of the hotel or apartment, or contact the information and reservations department, which are usually quite friendly and willing to solve them.
An issue that is not always clear is what babies and children pay at the hotel, from what age they pay or what is the discount applied. It is important to ensure this issue, because we can find an unpleasant surprise when we arrive at the hotel, whether we pay then or if we have already done so (we want to add an additional cost).
In the apartments, as the price also usually depends on the number of occupants, it must also be made clear that we travel with babies and children and their ages. Normally, children under two years do not pay if they stay with parents and sleep in a crib or in a couple's bed.
It does not matter if you travel to the beach, the city, the countryside or the mountains, the important thing is that you are comfortable in the chosen destination, and this greatly influences the accommodation.
