The Biotechnology Markets Platform, thanks to the collaboration of the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness, has created the campaign Get closer to biotechnology to publicize this specialty among children and their parents. In Peques and Más we commented a few weeks ago and promised to go, enjoy it and come back again to tell it. In the video that illustrates the article we tell what we did on January 21, 2012 and how much fun we had with the participation in the workshop.
In the workshop we were able to play with Game-Biotec which allowed us to visualize the DNA of microorganisms, discover the applications that genetic engineering has, see the morphology of microorganisms, etc. And all of it coordinated by the company Vita Aidelos which continues on tour in other Spanish cities as well as explaining and informing all the details on its page to bring the game closer to the students. The Game-Biotec Game has been developed by the Genoma España Foundation and Vita Aidelos with funding from FECYT and Genoma España. And it is that during the activity the children participated in a game where they were the cards, they acceded to experiments, they made observations in the microscope among many other things. In addition, the elderly participated in a workshop for the creation of products related to biotechnology and gave them samples with the final result. The whole family had a great time while we learned science and technology concepts in a fun and very entertaining way.
