Video: "Once upon a time the ocean"

The United Nations designated the June 8 World Oceans Day, and the theme of this year's commemoration is "Youth: the new stage for Change". And, as we recently commented on the occasion of World Environment Day, children have much to say in caring for the environment.

That's why we want to share with you all this video titled "Once upon a time the ocean", which tells the story of a little girl who discovers the dependence of humanity on the oceans and all the beauty and biodiversity that is at risk if we let them get lost due to pollution and unsustainable use of marine resources.

The Community and Biodiversity A.C. (COBI) of Mexico and Loreto National Marine Park are working, in partnership with Harvard University, on a strategy using this film that mixes animation and real images, aimed at school children. It aims to show the direct relationship between ocean and human health.

It begins as a story, a story of magic, in which a spell causes almost everyone to forget about the oceans. Except a girl who is curious and goes to look for the ocean. Along the way there will be many lessons on the danger of overfishing, pollution ...

The official designation of this day to honor and claim the oceans is an opportunity to raise global awareness of the challenges facing the international community in relation to the oceans. This video, a story for World Oceans Day, shows us the importance of this natural good and our conservation and care.
