Summary of the week from April 10 to 16 in Peques y Más

This week in Peques and Más we have interviewed Pilar San Miguel of the Montpellier School and the FSIE who leads the Checkmate initiative to School Failure. And is that the Chess It may be one of the best options to combat school failure because this sport impacts at least five of the eight multiple intelligences identified by Howard Gardner.

Also, and speaking of shopping, we prepare for him Mother's Day and this special bag for them of Papel Picado.

In Bordalotu we have been presented with a kit to customize and create original designs for the kids using the patchwork technique. It is a project of a mother who embarks on the adventure of entrepreneurship from the determined need to create objects for the family, and it is not the only one, because this week we also talk about My Little Big Artist who proposes to convert the child's drawing into a physical object such as a doll, a picture or a carpet. And we also like the multifunction furniture for the homes in which the children grow although the space does not do it in the same way.

In addition we also talk about the rates of child poverty in Spain that are among the highest in industrialized countries. And we remember the World Day against child slavery because millions of children are being deprived of their basic rights.

Over the books This week we talk about the stories of Toni and Tina designed to work on the management of emotions with children through fun and everyday anecdotes. The April 23 and the night of the books and therefore, the cultural centers propose activities for the little ones and also for the elderly. The of the Lope de Vega House in Madrid we liked it because of its familiarity and closer ties between grandparents and grandchildren. And we also discuss applications for children on the iPad with Hidalgus to know the Spanish Golden Age.

At school This week we talked about bullying with a shocking report of Chronicles (on TVE 2) called The chain of silence. And watch out for goodies and how they are shared because allergic children can take unnecessary risks. And more about allergic children because their rights at school are an important part of the care they receive. From the Canary Islands they inform us that the schools will continue to function in summer. And we reflect on what mathematics children learn in school and how they will use them when they grow up.

In the Health We review the diseases transmitted by pets that Dr. Santi listed in his essential blog. We comment that the colecho is not related to the sudden death of the infant (and also benefits breastfeeding). We also wonder if kids eat enough fruits and vegetables of school age. And about infectious diarrhea we indicate that they can cause dehydration and imbalance in the mineral composition of the organism.

In the television They inform us that the Ninja Turtles arrive because they are 30 years old and they want to celebrate it with a new movie and a new series on TVE's Clan. And to have children well organized, nothing like the Kids Control app.

And to travel, now that the good weather is coming, I recommend the walk along the bank of a river, and specifically this walk along the Duero in Soria because it is highly recommended. And if you stay in the city, in Madrid you can see, once again, the Circa show to enjoy the acrobatics of these young artists. We have presented eSpectacularKids, the first digital library of children's shows. Another of the activities we do at home was that of the ICO Museum with its two exhibitions and a fantastic workshop in which children develop imagination, creativity and communication, because they themselves tell their creations!

As always, we recommend that you go through Peques and more, so that you can review these contents more widely as well as discover more articles than those included in this summary. Until next week!
