Video: a normal family that looks like a UN gathering

"This seems like a meeting of the UN" said the carpenter of this great family. A great normal family. According to a widely used estimate, about 93 million children in the world (one in 20 children under 14) live with some moderate or severe disability. Many of these disabled children are left homeless at birth., and are usually the last in the list of children that most parents would adopt.

But this is not the case with the Dennehy, an American family who decided that those disabled children are the ones who need to find a real family. And they got down to work, as we see in this exciting video.

Undoubtedly, these images reflect on the fate of these children and that this family has so rare but that it is so happy. But it also reminds us of the injustice of so many abandoned children who will not have the same fate.

Because while these children found the support of an adoptive family, and others have their own family to develop and get ahead, unfortunately other children with disabilities are still seen as inferior people and do not have the love of their family or their environment, suffer abuse ...

Children living in invisibility, a neglect that originates and perpetuates a large part of the deprivations suffered by children with disabilities, which are among the most vulnerable members of society.

In this video we know some experiences of children from Thailand, Ethiopia, India, Romania, China ... and who have coincided in the same family thanks to the interest of their adoptive parents, who got rid of the culture of "perfection" and sought the normal. And they achieved it with an unconditional love.

It seems admirable to me the great family that the Dennehy have formed regardless of the difficulties, the obstacles, only taking into account the needs of the children and making them happy and like any other child and adolescent. I recommend you see this family in action at the exciting video that conveys incredible strength.
