Recipes for back to school: Today homemade fish delicacies

In today's recipe we will prepare some homemade fish delicacies They are very juicy and are ideal for kids to take them to school in tupper, since they can be reheated with a touch of microwave, although they can also be taken without overheating.

There is only one problem, since when your children try these homemade delicacies they will not want to hear about the frozen foods or precooked because, believe me, they have nothing to do with it. And when I say your children, I mean all family members, parents, children, grandparents, etc. You will see what a difference.

Ingredients for 4 people

  • 600 gr of hake loins, flour, 2 eggs, salt, extra virgin olive oil and rice, corn, cherry tomatoes and arugula leaves for the garnish

How to make homemade fish delicacies

The first part is the most important, buy a good fish. Ask the fishmonger to give you a piece of hake from the central area and take off your skin and take off. With about 600 gr it will be enough. Once at home, we cut the loins into pieces of the size that you like, for example, 4 cm long and 2 cm wide.

While preparing the fish, put the rice to cook for the garnish and open the can of sweet corn. We dry the fish pieces well in absorbent paper, sprinkle with a little salt and batter them in flour and egg. Remember the trick of do it alphabetically, first the flour and then the egg.

So that they are very juicy, we put plenty of oil to heat in a pan and when it has a temperature, we fry the pieces of fish in several batches, so that it is at a good temperature and made fast. Thus they are golden and juicy. Once golden brown, drain them on absorbent paper and let them cool to room temperature.

We put in a tupper putting a base of arugula leaves and two or three cherry tomatoes halved, four or five homemade fish delicacies and the garnish of white rice and corn. With a piece of fruit for recreation and another for dessert, we will know that they will be well fed.

Tasting

For children to enjoy this recipe in school, the ideal is that they can give a small heat in the microwave and thus take both rice and warm fish. In any case, the homemade hake delicacies are delicious also cold. If you want, you can put an envelope of mayonnaise or a slice of lemon, but my son always preferred them as is, with nothing.
