In Madrid, Christmas 2013-2014 has already started and should not be missed

Since Friday November 29, 2013 and until Monday, January 6, 2014 you can say that the Christmas has already begun in Madrid. The lights illuminate the streets from Sunday to Wednesday from 6 in the afternoon until 10 at night and on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and the eve of holidays are kept on until 11 at night. Also on December 24 and January 5, the lights will come on until 3 in the morning. The most festive days, on December 25, January 1 and January 6 there will be lights until 12 at night and on December 31 will be until 6 in the morning.

As for several years the lighting is formed with the sketches of some of the Spanish designers, architects and graphic designers which allows you to decorate and decorate the city on holidays. They are Ángel Schlesser, in Princesa, Hanníbal Laguna, in Ortega y Gasset, Purificación García, in Goya, Juanjo Oliva, in Jorge Juan, Ana Locking, in Fuencarral and Montera and Sergio Sebastián, in Chueca. You can also see the designs of the architects Teresa Sapey, in Serrano (one of my favorites), Ben Busche in Plaza Mayor, Calle Mayor and Ballesta and Roberto Turégano, in Velázquez.In the image you can see the corner of Alcalá with Gran Via with the famous Metropolis building in the foreground and with the Gran Vía being filled with Christmas.

For the whole family one of the essential destinations is Cortylandia, next to the Plaza del Celenque and in the El Corte Inglés facade from Maestro Victoria Street. This year is dedicated to a forest where several bears sing children's songs. It is a main attractions for the whole family and it is worth spending time to see the faces of the children and the large number of people who share the moment of the performance. The passes last fifteen minutes with functions at 12:00, 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. in the morning and in the afternoon at 5:00 p.m., 6:00 p.m., 7:00 p.m., 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. hours. It is advisable to review the schedule because it will vary throughout the holidays.
