Children's films also have their nominations at the 2014 Goya Awards

Our fellow Blog Blogs have reviewed all the nominations of the Goya awards of the year 2014. Among all the films and the nominees we must highlight Zipi and Zape and the marble club, which we talked about in Peques y Más, which has received four nominations in the categories of best adapted screenplay (Francisco Roncal and Jorge Lara), better production direction (Koldo Zuazua), better artistic direction (Juan Pedro de Gaspar) and better special effects (Felix Bergés-El Ranchito and Endre Korda). Zipi and Zape, a blockbuster in 2013, has been directed by Oskar Santos and is a production of Zeta Cinema, MOD Productions, Atresmedia Cine and Kowalski Films. In addition, the film is in luck because he will participate in the next Sundance International Film Festival.

There are also other categories that have a lot to do with childhood, such as the best animated movie in which they appear: The extraordinary journey of Lucius Dumb de Maite Ruiz de Austri, Futbolín by Juan José Campanella, Hiroku Gaia Defenders of Manuel González Mauricio and Justin and the sword of courage of Manuel Sicilia who also came to present the film to Peques and Más. We wish everyone good luck at the awards ceremony.

And there are also nominations to the best short film Spanish animation. In this case the nominees are:

  • Blue & Malone Imaginary detectives by Abraham López Guerreo. Some time ago Patricia told us about the project in Peques y Más
  • Strings by Pedro Solís García from whom I found this link on Promofest
  • O xigante by Julio Vanzeler, Luis da Matta and from which you can see a trailer on Vimeo
  • Via tango of Adriana Navarro Álvarez from which you can see information on Adriana's page

We wish all of you many successes and we will be very attentive to the awards that films that focus on children receive. In my opinion the success will be greater if they do the Pixar effect, this is, get parents to have fun While watching movies with your children, have a great time. In the case of many of the Spanish productions, at least those I have seen, this effect happens and in addition the quality of the films also contributes to the cinemas being filled with enchanted audience that maintains the momentum to go to the cinema.
