In Brilliant.org you can find challenges to practice science and math

I registered for a while Brilliant.org and periodically I receive information about this service that puts the focus on solving math problems to force the mind to work. Maybe for the little ones it is too much level for their knowledge although there are very curious children and eager to discover things. In any case from twelve years old It can be a great tool to perform mental calculations and complement what you learn in the subjects.

The last problem they sent me is asked (it is in English) "On a moving train, a passenger who is seated facing the front, tosses a coin up in the air. Given that the coin falls into the lap of the person behind, what can we say about the motion of the train?". That translated could be: in a moving train, a passenger who is sitting in the direction of the march throws a coin into the air. As the coin falls on the skirt of the person behind, what is the movement of the train?

The site requires effort and dedication because there are large collections of problems. Since Microsiervos commented several months ago the site does not stop progressing and trying to become an educational reference aimed at developing STEM capabilities (science, technology, engineering and mathematics).

About the problem commented I leave it for readers although, as we learned in high school physics, if the currency does not go forward or backward the train does not move either backwards or forwards respectively, so there is not much left to choose the correct answer. My daughter has guessed it!

I recommend Brilliant.org To practice, learn about other ways to approach science and mathematics. Any tool can be good to encourage the laggards in class and to encourage the most motivated and eager to learn more.
