"Everything is NOT awesome": the possible consequences of drilling the Arctic explained with LEGO dolls

Greenpeace has produced a short animation that in just one week has achieved more than four million views, it is true that it has also generated a lot of controversy. It is a satire that criticizes the LEGO co-branding agreement with Shell (A company that wants to drill the Arctic to exploit new fossil fuel deposits in the coming decades).

The legal team of the environmental organization claimed that the issue is of public interest, in defense of the public's right to watch the movie, that after Warner Bros made a copyright claim and YouTube was forced to withdraw it.

Here you can read the reasons Greenpeace has to urge the toy company to stop playing with Shell, this action is part of a largest project in defense of the Arctic.

It is considered that perforations in that territory as desired as threatened can cause irreparable spills, so it is sought that popular and positive brands stop associating with the oil company. In the case of LEGO, it has included pieces with the Shell logo on one of its toy boxes.

But let's go back to the short film that I present, it is not necessary to explain anything because in less than two minutes it is seen, the protagonists are Inuit families, bears and other polar animals, drilling machines, ice, oil ... they are up to Emmet and Freestyle from the LEGO movie.

After the withdrawal of YouTube, the content was also taken to Vimeo, although Warner Bros finally withdrew the complaint and is now available on both platforms.
