An interesting show for the whole family: Verbena with puppets in Granada

If you thought that after the weekend it was time to rest and regain strength, here I present an interesting activity that will rob us of a little sleep, but that you cannot miss if you have it nearby. Tomorrow Monday, July 16 from 9:00 p.m. takes place a Verbena with puppets in the Huerta de San Vicente de Granada.

Admission is free, and the first two works, which combine puppets and other objects, music, stories, songs, improvisation ... are for all audiences (the one that starts later is for the public from the age of seven).

I think it is a great opportunity (and also free) for children to know first hand a fabulous world of imagination with this form of minor theater that, personally, I was passionate about as a child and continues to do so now. These are the first two works that can be seen tomorrow in Granada:

  • The Puppeteers of Binéfar present the work "In the mouth of the wolf" at 9:00 p.m. on the Main Stage, for all audiences, a traditional puppet performance lasting 50 minutes). It is a work-collage about the profession of puppeteer and popular culture. Through traditional songs and games, a festive tour of the puppeteer and storytelling tradition is carried out. Mr. Don Gato, witches, goblins, bandits, giants that the public feeds ... liven up this work that mixes experiments, nannies, stories, songs ...

  • The Dromosophista Autonomous Company (Italy) presents the work: "The free cube" at 10:15 p.m. on the Main Stage, a work of street arts and theater of objects that lasts 45 minutes. Four puppeteers and musicians give life to their most successful work, a cross between music, street theater and object theater. A montage where four characters revolve around a black cube that transforms into a spiral of surreal and poetic images accompanied by live music. It is an opportunity to observe how through a minimal scenery you can create a whole fun world of music, transformism and games.

Don't miss these puppet shows for all audiences in Granada, in the Huerta de San Vicente, in the Federico García Lorca House-Museum (C / Virgen Blanca). Surely everyone, children and adults, will know how to pick up "with intelligence and a clean heart, the delicious and hard language of the dolls"(Federico García Lorca).
