The most recent, and certainly the viral of the week (or the month!) Is the video of a conversation between a father and his baby, in which the child only babbles and "speaks" in his language, while dad He answers and continues the conversation as if he understood. But Besides being a totally adorable father and son interaction, it's something we should do. We explain why.

The viral of the week: a unique and special conversation

This video, which has more than 46,000,000 views, has given us thousands of smiles to see an adorable interaction between two people who still don't speak the same language yet but that undoubtedly do their best to understand each other.

But also, it is a great example of how valuable and important the conversations with our children are and shows us something that all fathers and mothers should do with them: talk to them since childhood, although we still don't understand each other.

In Babies and more The baby already "speaks" in his mind before uttering the first words

The video, which was published on the mother's Facebook account, is tender from the first second in which they are seen together, sharing a quiet moment at home and in family, relaxing sitting watching television. While the mother captures the video, father and son "talk" about the program on the screen.

Naturally, the baby being so small says absolutely nothing coherent, but the dad responds as if he understood and the baby to him too, imitating many of the movements, gestures, expressions and sounds that his father makes, and responding with certainty.

Published just a few days ago, the cute and funny video between father and son has been flooded with positive comments (more than 337,000 to be exact) and has been shared more than 1,375,000 times. His virality has been thanks to how much fun it is to watch the baby "talk", how cute it is to see the father respond, and highlights how important it is to have that kind of interactions with children since they are little.

Talk to him before he speaks

Although this video has undoubtedly been virally amazing in a matter of days because of its adorablely funny content, it also shows something that several studies have long discovered: Babies are able to have "conversations" even if they have not yet learned to speak.

And it is that as we know, babies are imitators, and it is precisely from us who observe, imitate and subsequently learn to develop many of their abilities, among which is language learning, as well as their ability to speak and express themselves.

For some years now, we have recommended that babies be talked to even though they are not yet able to talk, as this not only helps to develop and strengthen a bond with them, but also it benefits in its acquisition of language, as well as in its reasoning.

We recently shared the results of a study in which researchers had discovered that Talking frequently with a baby helps boost the development of cognitive skills, because they found that there is a link between children who heard large amounts of adult speech and their nonverbal skills, such as reasoning, numerical ability and awareness or knowledge of forms.

Also, in another study it was found that, those children who had conversed more with their parents during their first years of life, they had better language skills and higher levels of IQ a decade later.

In general, talk to our children since they are little Not only does it give us precious and fun interactions, but it is also all benefits: it helps us strengthen the bond with them, contributes to their development and facilitates language learning.
