A teenager plays Fortnite for ten hours a day to pay for his father's cancer treatment

Not all stories related to online games have to do with children's addictions or excessive use of parental cards. And this story is a good example of what we say.

Last September they diagnosed ZylTV's father, his name on the Twitch steraming channel, a stage III rectal cancer. He needs to continue with chemotherapy because his cancer has spread, but his family has no money to pay for it.

So your son, a 13 year old Canadian boy, wanted to help and came up with a crazy idea, in principle, but that has worked very well: Relay your Fortnite games for 10 hours a day to raise funds and help with your father's medical expenses.

An initiative with a heart

His ten-hour marathons, which lengthened for five days, they have become viral in social networks, in a race against time to raise enough money to save their father. We always warn of the risks of addiction to video games, but in this case it has been with a good end.

When requesting donations from followers of your Twitch account, the channel on which you broadcast live, explains:

"My father was diagnosed with stage III rectal cancer on September 14, 2018. His cancer spread to his lungs and liver which led him to stage 4 cancer. He is currently undergoing chemotherapy. These are the circumstances. The doctors gave him: "Without chemotherapy, he will be dead in a year. With chemotherapy 3 years there is a 20% chance that he can live. Please! Donate any amount you can. All the money will go to pay for your treatment. We send a lot of love from me and from all the members of my family. "

Your request has gone viral

One of the first donations he received was from CoL MackWood, one of the most famous gamers and Fortnite expert, who gave $ 25 to the cause. He has joined many other users and continues to receive donations today, far exceeding the 500 Canadian dollars he intended to raise.

They have already exceeded $ 13,000 (about 8,811 euros). Therefore, this week his father joined one of the zylTV broadcasts to thank each of the contributions, very important to them.

The video accumulates more than 500,000 visits and continues to excite young and old.

We can also help by donating or sharing your story. Because as in other cases of good actions of children and young people, our teenagers continue to excite us.
