Cinema Paradiso is re-released in movie theaters so that young people can meet and enjoy it

On the occasion of 25th anniversary of the classic directed by Giuseppe Tornatore it will be replaced as of Friday, September 5, 2014 and in more than 100 movie theaters in Spain, and for a week, the restored version of cinema Paradiso. This is a movie that was a total crush on fans and that it can probably be a discovery for new generations. The cinema is changing, also in the distribution, very quickly, and the 35 mm projectors have been converted to digital, so there are no longer manipulations of celluloid films. This movie by Cinema Paradiso is fantastic for making a tribute to film workers that, except error, have been disappearing from the rooms: setters, projectors, lockers, etc. Many workers are replaced by machines although some are new, for example, the popcorn and soda area with which significant benefits are obtained.

The movie won a Oscar and a Golden Globe and it was a great blockbuster in Spain when was released in 1989 arriving to one million viewers. The film is charming, nostalgic and endearing and includes a soundtrack composed of Ennio Morricone.

We remember movie fans and especially to those who want to take their children to see her, that the film tells the story of Salvatore, successful film director, who returns to his hometown to attend the funeral of his old friend Alfredo, who was the projectionist of local cinema during his childhood in Sicily. Soon the memories of his first love with the beautiful Elena and all the chapters that marked his happy childhood come back to his mind, connecting Salvatore with the community that abandoned 30 years ago.

And it is that little Totò did not separate from the side of Alfredo, who secretly collected all the discards that the priest, the final censor, cut from the projected films. And as if it were a treasure, Salvatore recalls all the caresses and forbidden kisses kept in an old box.

It's good news that films from the past are recovered. Already we will see if the formula to release them again in big cinemas works. I think it's a great opportunity to make kids go to the movies, with their parents or with their gangs, and discover the excitement of old movies because they will find many answers to their questions and reflections. Perhaps many more than those that are released today and that seem all cut by the same pattern: young hero, handsome and full of extraordinary abilities, destroyed world, survive the apocalyptic world tragedy and know and get! To the favorite boy or girl.
